“We can not shy away from the fact that our people deserve more than what they are getting right now, I know our limitations and I know we can do more than what we are doing right now to further assist our people from the shackle of poverty and needs. All these I intend to address when I get to the Assembly by 2011,” he said.
The House of Assembly aspirant used the forum to thank the people of his constituency for having so much confidence in him and supporting him to come out and aspire for the position he believes he can use to turn around the fortunes of the people of Akoko North East of the state.
He also advised the people of the area to be steadfast with the PDP as it remains the only party that can truly liberate the people of the area as well as the state from the bondage that is currently the situation with the Labour Party government in Ondo State.
“People should not lose sleep about this current government as it has shown in the last seven months that it has nothing to offer to the people of Ondo State and as such the party would soon collapse and go into historical oblivion,” Obanla said.
